Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have announced updates to their Winter 2025/26 schedule, introducing additional flights from London Stansted to Iceland during February 2026. These new services, scheduled to depart on key dates around the UK’s February half-term, add over 1,500 seats to the route and aim to meet rising demand for seasonal travel to northern destinations. Flights will connect UK travellers directly with Reykjavik during one of the most popular travel periods.

The airline will operate more than 170 outbound services to Iceland from 12 airports across the UK, covering a period from October 2025 through April 2026. The expanded capacity, which represents a 6% increase compared to Winter 2024/25, allows travellers from various cities to reach Iceland more conveniently. These airports include:

  • Edinburgh
  • Birmingham
  • Manchester
  • and others
Iceland is a destination that is rapidly growing in popularity thanks to its many natural and unique wonders, from the Northern Lights to natural parks and geothermal spas. The beauty of Iceland, coupled with the fantastic benefits available through Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks, means we are confident of a very successful programme.

Among the highlights accessible via these routes is the famous Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located within the Golden Circle, known for its dramatic rift valley and historical significance. Another must-visit location is the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where visitors can walk behind the cascading water for a rare panoramic view. For those interested in geothermal activity, the Geysir Geothermal Area offers a unique chance to witness erupting hot springs, including the frequently active Strokkur geyser.

Travellers can also take advantage of the expanded flight options to visit the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, a striking area of floating icebergs near Iceland’s southeast coast. Those looking for more remote natural beauty may explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called "Iceland in Miniature" due to its diverse terrain, from volcanic craters to black sand beaches. In the south, the Reynisfjara Beach near Vík attracts visitors year-round with its basalt columns and powerful Atlantic waves.

With these flight additions, Jet2 is making travel to Iceland during winter more accessible for families and individuals across the UK. The increased frequency allows for shorter getaways or extended stays that align with specific travel interests, whether viewing the Northern Lights or exploring Iceland’s dramatic outdoor settings. The expansion provides greater flexibility, especially during high-demand holiday windows when seats are typically limited.
