Nuremberg Gets Four London Airports in Winter Shake-Up
Nuremberg Airport is adding new easyJet flights to Manchester, Milan and two London airports this winter. Gatwick and Luton will join existing Heathrow and Stansted services, giving travellers four different ways to reach the British capital. The airport's winter schedule begins on 25 October 2026, but easyJet won't launch until November, and some of its routes run only around Christmas.
New Winter Routes and Starting Fares
- Manchester–Nuremberg: easyJet, 2 November; twice weekly through New Year; advertised from €54 one-way.
- Gatwick–Nuremberg: easyJet, 19 November; two to four weekly, throughout winter; from €41.
- Luton–Nuremberg: easyJet, 23 November; two to three weekly, mainly Christmas season; from €30.
- Milan Malpensa–Nuremberg: easyJet, 27 November; twice weekly during Christmas and selected trade fairs; from €27.
- Fares: Original inbound launch prices per person, including taxes; live fares may differ.
Those advertised fares are for journeys to Nuremberg, not guaranteed prices from Germany. easyJet's cheapest tickets include one small under-seat bag (45 × 36 × 20 cm); larger bags add to the cost. The airport's wider winter programme brings Ryanair flights to Agadir, Rabat and Porto, a return to Seville, and Wizz Air's new service to Târgu Mureș in Romania.
The new links put Nuremberg's Christmas market within easier reach of visitors arriving from Britain or Milan. The Christkindlesmarkt runs from 27 November to 24 December, close to the Old Town's historic streets and Imperial Castle. From the airport, the U2 underground reaches the main railway station in about 12 minutes. Other winter-sun options from Nuremberg include Hurghada, Antalya and the Canary Islands.
London fares need checking against airport transfer costs: Gatwick has direct trains to Victoria, while Luton requires a DART shuttle to reach its railway station. Most German visitors must get a £20 UK ETA before flying; British and Irish citizens and people with UK immigration permission are exempt. Check return-flight dates carefully, as some of Nuremberg's easyJet links end around New Year.
