Brussels Airlines Adds Cairo Flights With Overnight Arrivals

Brussels Airlines will launch its own nonstop Brussels–Cairo flights next spring, adding an alternative to Egyptair's existing service. The summer route features both daytime and late-night departures, with some arrivals in Egypt after 02:00. That creates a choice between easier hotel check-in and travelling overnight. The airline's wider 2027 expansion also includes more flights to Kilimanjaro and popular European holiday destinations.

Egyptair already operates nonstop flights between Brussels and Cairo, giving passengers another choice. Some Egyptair-operated services are also sold under Brussels Airlines flight numbers, so compare departure times, the operating carrier and total fares. Brussels Airlines' Economy Light fare excludes checked baggage, while codeshare flights may follow partner baggage rules. A separate launch fare for the newly announced Brussels Airlines-operated service has not been confirmed.

Cairo gives visitors access to the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and the Grand Egyptian Museum, near the pyramids. Museum admission must be booked online for a selected date and time slot, with tickets generally non-refundable. Galleries close at 18:00 on most days but stay open until 21:00 on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with the last entry at 20:00. Check available slots before booking non-refundable tours.

Passengers arriving at 02:30 should arrange a transfer and confirm hotel check-in before departure. Cairo Airport lists metered white taxis and fixed-price limousine services; public buses leave near Terminal 1, although overnight departures are unconfirmed. Check the arrival terminal when arranging the collection. Eligible travellers needing an Egyptian e-visa must apply through the official portal at least seven days before departure and confirm entry rules for their nationality.
