Ryanair Reveals Fourth New Wrocław Route - Faro Is Next

Ryanair is adding another direct link between Poland and Portugal, giving holidaymakers in Wrocław a new route into the Algarve next spring. Faro is the airline’s fourth newly announced destination from the city for summer 2027, following Birmingham, Burgas and Catania. The service opens up Portugal’s southern coast without a connecting flight, including for people travelling from the wider Lower Silesia region.

The new Algarve service is listed in booking schedules, with all times local:

“Portugal is one of the destinations that attracts particularly strong interest from our passengers. We can also see this in the performance of our existing routes to Porto and Lisbon. We are therefore pleased to be expanding our flight offering to Portugal even further. Faro is also the fourth new Ryanair destination announced for next summer. This is very good news for us, especially as every additional direct connection creates more travel opportunities not only for residents of Wrocław, but for the entire Lower Silesia region."
The Tuesday and Saturday flights allow three-night or four-night breaks, making Faro suitable for short holidays. Saturday return flights depart early, so travellers should check airport transport before booking accommodation. Local buses 14 and 16 connect Faro Airport with the city centre, while Vamus operates coach services towards Albufeira, Portimão and Lagos, offering access to several Algarve resorts without hiring a car. Travellers can check routes and timetables on the Faro Airport website.
Faro itself is worth exploring before heading to the resorts. Enter its walled old town through Arco da Vila, visit Faro Cathedral and climb the bell tower for views over Ria Formosa. From the waterfront, boats reach Culatra and Ilha Deserta, islands known for sandy beaches and natural scenery. Travellers staying longer can also visit Tavira or continue west towards Albufeira and Lagos.
The direct service avoids the need to change planes or travel through Lisbon to reach Portugal’s southern coast. Its twice-weekly timetable is less flexible than a daily route, however, especially if plans change or a flight is missed. Travellers should compare the full price including bags, check local transport hours for their arrival, and confirm the latest timings before departure.
