On 20 May 2025, Emirates launched Airbus A350 operations on its evening Dubai Amman route, advancing the rollout by two weeks. The aircraft touched down at Queen Alia International Airport just after midnight, following departure from Dubai late on 19 May. This change means one of the two daily flights now uses a different plane model, and the takeoff and landing times in both directions have been slightly shifted.

The updated schedule includes a late-evening takeoff from Dubai and an early-morning return from Amman. Even though the number of daily flights hasn’t changed, swapping in a different aircraft might make some travellers rethink how and when they want to fly. The switch to the A350 brings a new seat layout and timing that could suit passengers seeking overnight travel or early arrival in either city for onward connections or daytime activities.

Touching down in Amman just past midnight gives travellers the whole day ahead to explore without losing any sightseeing hours to transit or check-in delays. The Roman Theatre, built in the 2nd century and located in downtown Amman, remains a major historical site and is open daily to the public. Just a short walk away, the Jordan Museum displays ancient finds from places like Petra and the Dead Sea, giving visitors a chance to learn about the country’s history without having to travel outside the city.

Those stepping off the plane in Dubai early in the day can head straight to the Dubai Museum, tucked inside the old Al Fahidi Fort, where the city’s journey from fishing village to modern hub is laid out in one place. Another spot right in the heart of Dubai is the Gold Souk in Deira, where long lines of glittering shop windows hint at the city’s past as a key player in the trade world. Since they open early and are easy to reach by metro or bus, travellers can head straight there without needing to wait around or make extra plans.

Rolling out the A350 ahead of schedule is a small change behind the scenes but one that travellers will notice right away, especially when it comes to flight times and how the journey feels. With planes now arriving earlier and offering a different onboard setup, the new schedule could be useful for travellers who need to catch another flight or be somewhere during the day. While the route remains the same, the timing and travel experience now differ slightly from previous months, which is relevant for itinerary adjustments.
