Silversea is adding golf to a series of cruises launching in 2027, with rounds arranged at well-known courses in the UK, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. The sailings have been created with PerryGolf, a specialist golf travel company that will organise the onshore golf packages. Guests can book the cruise itself through Silversea and add the golf programme on selected voyages.

Where the First Golf Voyages Will Sail

  • Cruise line: Silversea
  • Golf partner: PerryGolf
  • Launch: 2027
  • British Isles: Southampton round trip, 14–25 August 2027
  • Mediterranean: Barcelona round trip, 25 October–3 November 2027
  • Australia and New Zealand: Sydney–Auckland, 29 January–12 February 2028
  • Golf package: Tee times, green fees, transfers, lunch, refreshments and practice facilities at selected courses

PerryGolf will run the golf side of the trip, including pre-arranged tee times, transfers between the ship and each course, green fees and refreshments. The British Isles sailing includes Royal Liverpool, Prince’s Golf Club, Portstewart, Castle Stuart and Dumbarnie Links. Spanish courses include Camiral, Las Colinas, Son Gual and Alcanada, while the Australia and New Zealand voyage features Tasmania Golf Club, Royal Wellington, Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs.

The routes also give passengers time away from the fairways. The British Isles itinerary opens up Liverpool, Kent, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands, while the Mediterranean sailing combines golf with Barcelona, Mallorca and Spain’s southeastern coast. The longer Sydney–Auckland journey adds Tasmania, Wellington and other New Zealand stops, making it possible to combine several well-known courses with city visits, coastal scenery and local sightseeing.

Booking several rounds in different countries usually means arranging tee times, transport and local logistics separately. Here, those parts are bundled into one optional package while the cruise continues as normal. That will suit golfers who want to play recognised courses without building the entire holiday around transfers and reservations, while companions who do not play can still follow the same itinerary.
