Lufthansa Adds More Allegris Routes
Lufthansa will expand its Allegris cabin to 11 more long-haul destinations in the winter 2026/27 schedule. The airline says the updated cabin will appear on additional routes from Frankfurt and Munich, following the rollout of its new long-haul service earlier this year. All new winter destinations are now available for booking, according to Lufthansa.
From Frankfurt, Lufthansa will add Allegris flights to Vancouver, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, San José in Costa Rica, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur. The new direct Frankfurt–Kuala Lumpur route starts on 25 October and will operate five times a week. Lufthansa says the service will use a Boeing 787-9 with 287 seats across three classes.
New Allegris destinations
The winter rollout covers routes from both main German hubs:
- Frankfurt: Vancouver, Houston, Denver, Atlanta, Detroit, San José, Seoul and Kuala Lumpur
- Munich: Singapore from late October, Washington in March 2027 and Cape Town
- Frankfurt–Chennai: planned from March, also with Boeing 787-9 aircraft
The wider Lufthansa Group winter schedule will also bring new and extended routes. SWISS will add Bengaluru, while ITA Airways plans a seasonal Rome–Santo Domingo service. Brussels Airlines will keep Kilimanjaro into winter, and Discover Airlines will add Agadir, Fès and Ivalo. Eurowings will expand Berlin services, including Kuusamo, Rome and London Heathrow.
The clearest travel gain is on long-haul trips where comfort matters most: overnight flights, business trips and journeys with several hours in the air. Kuala Lumpur gives Germany a new non-stop link to Malaysia, while Singapore, Cape Town, Seoul, Houston and Vancouver add Allegris options on major intercontinental routes. For passengers booking winter 2026/27, the aircraft and cabin type now matter more than usual.
