Loganair Offers Free Rebooking as Weather Warning Hits Scottish Islands
Loganair has warned of possible flight disruption on 11 and 12 March after a yellow weather alert was issued for the Outer Hebrides, Inner Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland. The airline said it still intends to operate its full schedule, while putting standby aircraft and crews in place. Those extra resources are meant to help restore affected services once conditions improve and flights can safely resume.
Customers due to travel during the warning period can move their booking to another Loganair flight within 14 days of the original departure date. No change fee or fare difference will apply, provided seats are still available. Rebooked seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis. Loganair also stressed that refunds will only be available where a flight is cancelled, not simply delayed or still operating.
The airline said the quickest way to change plans is through its Manage My Booking page. Anyone who has already checked in must first remove their check-in before making a new booking. Travellers who cannot find a suitable alternative online can contact the Help Centre by phone, though longer waiting times are expected. The disruption policy applies only to Loganair-operated flights and does not cover onward travel with other airlines.
