Hilton has introduced a new digital planning tool designed to help guests organise hotel stays through conversational search. The Hilton AI Planner, currently being tested in beta on the company’s website, uses generative artificial intelligence to answer questions and guide users as they explore destinations, compare properties and review hotel amenities across Hilton’s global network of hotels.

The tool is designed to support people during several stages of the booking process. Instead of relying only on search filters, users can type questions and receive suggestions in real time. Hilton says the AI Planner will initially be available to a limited number of visitors on hilton.com while the company collects feedback and gradually expands access to more users.

“The launch of the Hilton AI Planner marks another step forward in our journey to reimagine the travel experience for Hilton guests. This is just the beginning and a preview of where we’re going, as we continue to focus on providing thoughtful, purposeful innovation that empowers travelers."
Michael Leidinger, Senior Vice President & Chief Information Officer at Hilton

What the Hilton AI Planner can do

  • Answer travel questions through conversational search
  • Suggest destinations and hotels within Hilton’s network
  • Compare properties and available amenities
  • Provide real-time responses during trip planning

Hilton says the system is meant to simplify how guests search for hotels and explore options across its portfolio.

The introduction of the AI Planner comes as many travellers increasingly rely on digital tools when researching trips. Hilton already offers several technology-based services, including the Hilton Honors mobile app, Digital Key room access and Confirmed Connecting Rooms. The new planner builds on these services and reflects how hotel companies are experimenting with new ways to organise travel information online.

Hilton operates thousands of properties worldwide, covering major cities, resort destinations and airport locations. A tool that helps people explore this network more quickly may change how hotel stays are researched and booked. As the beta test continues, the company will analyse how users interact with the planner and use that feedback to improve how the system responds to future travel searches.
