Gatwick Gets a Daily Istanbul Link
London Gatwick has launched daily Pegasus Airlines flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, creating the first direct link between the two airports. The inaugural flight operated on 16 June, with services running from the South Terminal. The route brings Pegasus back to Gatwick and adds another Türkiye option for London and South East passengers this summer during the peak holiday season.
The service connects Gatwick with Pegasus’ main hub on Istanbul’s Asian side, giving access to 160 onward destinations in 56 countries. Pegasus says its network includes 39 destinations across Türkiye, including Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman. The airline already flies daily between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and London Stansted, so the new Gatwick route widens its London reach and gives passengers another airport choice.
Daily Gatwick–Istanbul Schedule
Pegasus will operate the service daily through summer 2026, with booking available through its own sales channels. The route is useful for both city breaks and onward connections at Sabiha Gökçen.
The published schedule includes:
- Gatwick departure: 15:20
- Istanbul arrival: 21:15
- Istanbul departure: 11:55
- Gatwick arrival: 14:15
- Starting fare: £54.99 one-way, including taxes
Travellers should compare baggage, seat and connection fees before paying.
The direct service makes Istanbul easier to reach for London and South East travellers, especially Sultanahmet, Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Grand Bazaar and Bosphorus ferries. Sabiha Gökçen also works for onward Pegasus links to Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman, so travellers can pair a city break with Turkish beach destinations without starting the trip at Stansted, especially if Gatwick is closer.
This addition gives Gatwick passengers another daily Istanbul option, but the cheapest deal will still depend on how they book. Light-packers should compare Pegasus fares with other London departures and check luggage, seat and connection costs before paying. If Istanbul is the first stop on a longer trip, keep the route on one booking where possible and save the confirmation emails.
