Dubai Flights Return from Seven European Cities This Winter
Lufthansa Group is restoring Dubai services from seven European cities for the 2026/27 winter season as it continues rebuilding its Middle East network. Lufthansa, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Eurowings are involved, with all of the announced services operating to Dubai International Airport (DXB). The expanded schedule adds more non-stop options across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, although individual routes may still change if regional conditions deteriorate.
Where Dubai Flights Are Returning
- Frankfurt — Lufthansa: from 26 October, up to 5 weekly.
- Munich — Lufthansa: from 25 October, 5 weekly.
- Zurich — SWISS: from 27 October, daily.
- Berlin — Eurowings: from 1 November, daily.
- Stuttgart — Eurowings: from 1 November, 4 weekly.
- Cologne-Bonn — Eurowings: from 3 November, 3 weekly.
- Vienna — Austrian Airlines: from 12 December, 5 weekly.
- Peak network: up to 36 weekly flights.
- Season: winter 2026/27.
The airport code matters, particularly when booking Eurowings. The airline also sells some winter Dubai services through Dubai World Central (DWC), around 60 km from DXB. Anyone transferring between the two airports must clear immigration, collect their baggage and make the journey landside, so DXB and DWC should not be treated as interchangeable terminals when arranging hotels, transfers or separate onward flights.
DXB is also easier for many central Dubai stays. Metro stations at Terminals 1 and 3 connect directly with the Red Line, including stops for Burj Khalifa or Dubai Mall and connections towards Deira and Dubai Creek. DWC has no direct Metro station; buses connect it with Expo and Ibn Battuta Metro stations. That difference can affect both transfer time and the cost of reaching accommodation.
The restored DXB services give passengers another non-stop option when comparing winter flights, particularly from Berlin, Stuttgart and Cologne-Bonn, where Eurowings may also offer DWC itineraries. Checking the airport code rather than simply "Dubai" can prevent an unexpected cross-city transfer. Anyone tying the flight to a cruise, hotel booking or separate connection should also leave some flexibility, as Lufthansa Group says Middle East schedules may still be adjusted at short notice.
