Royal Brunei Airlines will operate temporary direct flights between Brunei Darussalam and London after suspending its usual routing through Dubai. The change follows airspace restrictions currently affecting flights in the region. Instead of stopping in the Middle East, aircraft will travel directly between the two cities for a limited period. The airline says the adjustment allows services to continue while maintaining operational safety.

The direct service is scheduled to run three times per week between 10 and 28 March 2026. Normally, Royal Brunei Airlines operates its London route with a stop in Dubai, but that part of the journey has been paused due to conditions affecting aviation in the Middle East. By introducing the temporary non-stop operation, the airline aims to keep the Brunei–UK route operating.

Temporary London service schedule

  • Three flights per week between Brunei and London
  • Direct operation replacing the usual Dubai stop
  • Valid between 10 and 28 March 2026

Royal Brunei Airlines said the arrangement allows it to continue carrying passengers while monitoring developments affecting regional airspace. The airline added that further changes to flight operations may be introduced if the situation evolves during this period.

Keeping the London route operating maintains Brunei’s connection with one of Europe’s busiest aviation centres. The city is known for its museums, theatre districts and historic landmarks, and it also serves as a starting point for trips around the United Kingdom and mainland Europe. From London, trains and short flights reach cities including Edinburgh, Manchester and Paris.

Route changes of this kind are often introduced when certain airspace areas cannot be used. Instead of stopping in Dubai, the airline will fly directly between Brunei and London for a limited period. This keeps the route operating while the situation affecting the usual stopover remains unresolved. The temporary direct service keeps flights between Brunei and the United Kingdom operating during this period.
