Bremen Adds Direct Bodrum Flights
Bremen Airport has launched a new holiday route to Bodrum, giving travellers in north-west Germany a nonstop option to Turkey’s Aegean coast. The first AJet flight departed on 28 June 2026, marking the airline’s debut at the airport. The service adds Bodrum-Milas to Bremen’s summer network of Turkish destinations.
Key Details for the Bremen–Bodrum Route
- Route: Bremen Airport–Bodrum-Milas Airport.
- Airline: AJet, a Turkish Airlines subsidiary.
- First flight: 28 June 2026.
- Frequency: once a week.
- Flight day: Sunday.
- Flight time: around three and a half hours.
- Season: summer holiday route.
Bodrum is known for whitewashed houses, narrow lanes, yacht harbours and a busy waterfront, but the city is not only a beach stop. Visitors can also see the remains of the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, giving the resort a stronger cultural angle than a standard seaside break.
The Sunday service should make trips easier for people who usually travel through larger German airports for holidays in Turkey. It gives Bremen, Lower Saxony and nearby areas a more convenient route to the Bodrum peninsula, including its bays, marina areas and old town. The schedule also fits week-long holidays better than quick weekend escapes.
“As part of our growth strategy in Europe, Germany remains one of our most important markets. With the Bremen-Bodrum route, we are connecting not only two cities, but also north-west Germany with one of Turkey’s most important tourist destinations."
The route is a useful addition for planned summer holidays rather than flexible last-minute trips, as there is only one flight each week. Travellers should check the return date, hotel timing and transfers from Bodrum-Milas Airport before booking. For people in Bremen and nearby areas, the main gain is a direct Sunday flight to Bodrum without starting the trip at a larger German airport.
