A French Island Retreat Reopens Near Bandol
Zannier Hotels has opened Zannier Île de Bendor, a 93-key hotel on Bendor Island off the South of France. The property opened in May 2026 after a five-year renovation of parts of the island. Bendor sits a seven-minute boat ride from Bandol and was bought in 1950 by French entrepreneur Paul Ricard.

The hotel’s Rēsonance programme starts with a bioresonance session, used by staff to shape treatments around stress, energy and physical balance. Guests can choose programmes focused on digestion, emotional reset, hormonal balance, fitness or skin. Depending on the programme, treatments may include massage, reflexology, naturopathy, cryotherapy, LED therapy, sound healing, breathing work or Qigong.
The opening gives visitors another option near Bandol, especially those already planning time on the Provençal coast. The island can be paired with Bandol’s harbour, beaches, vineyards and boat trips, while overnight guests stay off the mainland. Day visitors can also use parts of the island’s dining and wellness offer without booking a room.
With August stays listed from €815 before city tax, Zannier Île de Bendor is clearly aimed at the high-end market. Its practical appeal is the location: a private island setting seven minutes by boat from Bandol, with restaurants and wellness spaces available without a longer journey along the Riviera coast.
