Jersey Gets a Bordeaux Wine Link
Loganair has launched a seasonal direct service between Jersey and Bordeaux, giving the island its first air link with the French wine capital. The first flight departed on Friday 19 June, adding another European option to Jersey’s summer network. The route follows Loganair’s recent Jersey additions to East Midlands, Paris and Norwich.

The route gives Jersey five weekly Loganair flights to France when combined with the airline’s Paris service. Bordeaux Airport says it offers flights to more than 82 destinations across 27 countries, which may also help islanders planning onward trips in Europe. Loganair says the new service supports island connectivity and opens Jersey to new visitor markets.
Bordeaux is now easier to reach for long weekends built around wine bars, riverfront walks, the old city and nearby vineyards. The wider Nouvelle-Aquitaine region also becomes more practical for Jersey travellers, including Saint-Émilion, Arcachon Bay and the Atlantic coast. In the other direction, French visitors get a shorter route to Jersey’s beaches, coastal walks and historic sites.
This new service gives Jersey a direct France option just as summer demand is at its strongest. Bordeaux fits short wine-focused breaks, while the Monday and Friday schedule keeps weekend travel simple. The route also brings French visitors closer to Jersey, which matters for hotels, restaurants and local tourism outside the island’s usual UK market.
