Italian Autumn Breaks Added to Paderborn Airport Travel Programme

Holidaymaker Wend Urlaubsreisen (WUR) has announced three special trips departing from Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport in autumn 2026. The programme includes two Italian destinations on the same itinerary, the Amalfi Coast and the island of Ischia, scheduled for 13–20 October, alongside a shorter cultural trip to Rome planned for 1–5 November. The packages combine coastal scenery, historic cities and Italian food traditions.
The Amalfi Coast itinerary includes one of southern Italy’s most visited coastal areas. Roads follow steep cliffs above the Mediterranean, linking towns such as Positano and Amalfi along the shoreline of the Gulf of Salerno. Many visitors divide their time between seaside walks, short visits to local towns and meals in small restaurants overlooking the water.
A short ferry crossing across the Gulf of Naples connects the mainland with Ischia, a volcanic island known for thermal springs, gardens and harbour towns. The island is often chosen by visitors looking for a quieter setting than nearby Capri. The programme combines time for relaxation with opportunities to explore the island’s towns and natural surroundings.

These departures give travellers in western Germany a direct route to several Italian destinations that are often reached with connecting flights. The Amalfi Coast includes cliffside roads and towns built along the shoreline. Ischia is known for its thermal springs and green landscapes, while Rome remains one of Europe’s best-known historic capitals with monuments, museums and public squares. Autumn trips also tend to come with milder weather and lower visitor numbers than in summer.
