Hilton Opens Onsen Retreat Near Ha Long Bay

Hilton has opened Hilton Quang Hanh Onsen Resort in northern Vietnam, introducing its first onsen-style resort in South East Asia. Located in Quang Ninh Province near Ha Long Bay, the property centres its concept around natural hot mineral springs found in the Quang Hanh valley. The opening marks Hilton Hotels & Resorts’ third property in Vietnam and reflects continued expansion across the country’s growing tourism market.

Set roughly 30 minutes from Ha Long and around two and a half hours by road from Hanoi, the resort sits close to well-known cultural and natural attractions. Nearby sites include Long Tien Pagoda, Bao Hai Linh Thong Pagoda and Sung Sot Cave. The location places visitors within reach of northern Vietnam’s heritage areas while offering a quieter setting away from the region’s busiest coastal gateways.

Some villas are already open for bookings, with further accommodation scheduled to open later this year as construction progresses.

The resort adds another wellness-focused option near Ha Long Bay, an area already known for limestone islands, cave systems and coastal cruises. Easier access to mineral spring bathing encourages longer stays beyond traditional overnight visits linked to the bay itself.
