Delta Resumes Vital Tel Aviv Connection from New York-JFK
In a move that underscores its commitment to the Israeli market, Delta Air Lines has announced the resumption of its daily nonstop service from New York-JFK to Tel Aviv (TLV), effective June 7, 2024. This decision comes after an extensive security risk assessment by the airline, as it continues to closely monitor the situation in Israel in collaboration with government and private-sector partners.
The reinstated route will be operated using Delta's state-of-the-art Airbus A330-900neo aircraft, providing customers with nearly 2,000 weekly seats between the two cities. This move not only enhances connectivity between North America and Israel but also strengthens Delta's presence in the region.
In recent months, Delta has further solidified its position in the Israeli market through a strategic codeshare arrangement with EL AL Israel Airlines. This partnership allows Delta customers to access EL AL's direct services to Tel Aviv from major U.S. hubs, including New York-JFK, New York-Newark, Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. With the reintroduction of Delta's own New York-JFK service, travelers now have even more options when planning their journeys between North America and Israel.
