Batik Air to Relocate Singapore Operations to Terminal 4 from 11 November 2025

From 11 November 2025, airlines within the Lion Group – Batik Air Malaysia, Batik Air Indonesia, and Thai Lion Air – will transfer their flights to Terminal 4 at Singapore Changi Airport. The terminal offers travellers quicker check-in, self-service baggage drop, efficient boarding, along with a bright, welcoming setting filled with art, gardens, and easy connections for those flying across Southeast Asia.
The relocation from Terminal 3 to T4 reflects Lion Group’s rapid growth and the rising demand for regional travel across Southeast Asia. Terminal 4 can handle up to 16 million passengers a year and is known for its "FAST" (fully automated self-service travel) concept and interactive features such as the Heritage Zone, Steel in Bloom garden, and the Chandelier play area – turning transit time into a memorable part of the journey.
Datuk Chandran Rama Muthy, Chief Executive Officer of Batik Air Malaysia, described the move as a milestone in Lion Group’s expansion in Singapore. He noted that Terminal 4’s design allows smoother journeys and shorter waiting times, helping travellers enjoy a calmer, more efficient start to their trip. The shift also gives the airline room to grow and add more convenient regional connections in the months ahead.
Batik Air will launch new routes from Singapore to Ipoh, Penang, and Subang on 8 December 2025, strengthening connections between Singapore and Malaysia. The move will make it easier to take short trips around the region and visit Malaysia’s smaller coastal towns, old streets, and places known for their local food. For those transiting through Singapore, it adds new options for quick regional escapes without long stopovers or extra transfers.
“This relocation represents an important step in Lion Group’s long-term growth strategy in Singapore. Terminal 4 offers the capacity and modern infrastructure to support our expanding operations, while providing passengers with a seamless, world-class airport experience. It positions us to better meet the evolving needs of today’s travellers."
Batik Air’s move to Terminal 4 strengthens regional links and makes travelling through Singapore even easier. The combination of new routes, faster processes, and lively terminal spaces gives passengers a smoother start to their journey. Rather than being just a stop along the way, Changi turns into part of the journey – a place to unwind, explore, and enjoy before boarding.convenience, comfort, and discovery meet before take-off.
