Vienna Reopens Historic Landmark as Modern Accommodation
Following extensive renovation, the historic Palais Hansen in central Vienna has reopened as the Anantara Palais Hansen Vienna Hotel. Originally built for the 1873 World’s Fair, this Neo-Renaissance building is now the first Austrian location for the Anantara hospitality brand. Set right on Vienna’s famous Ringstrasse boulevard, the hotel is a convenient base for visitors keen to explore the city’s top sights on foot.
Over its 150-year history, the building has served various functions including as a luxury hotel and later a public office space. Now restored to its original purpose, it features 152 redesigned rooms. Historical elements such as marble floors and decorative ceilings have been preserved.
