Eurowings Adds Cologne and Stuttgart Routes From Gatwick

Eurowings has started operating flights from London Gatwick Airport, introducing new direct routes to Cologne and Stuttgart. The German airline launched 13 weekly flights to Cologne on 29 March and added six weekly flights to Stuttgart from 14 April. Both services operate from the North Terminal and represent the carrier’s first routes from Gatwick, expanding links between the United Kingdom and Germany.
The new services provide 19 weekly flights in total, strengthening short-haul connections between London and key German cities. Cologne becomes Eurowings’ only direct UK route, while Stuttgart adds further options for travel between the two countries. The airline forms part of the Lufthansa Group and operates a network linking European destinations through its regional hubs.
New Eurowings Routes From London Gatwick
- Cologne – 13 weekly flights from 29 March
- Stuttgart – 6 weekly flights from 14 April
- Total of 19 weekly departures from North Terminal
London Gatwick will offer more than 230 destinations during the summer season, supported by the arrival of additional airlines joining the airport’s network. New carriers operating routes include Jet2, Air France, Condor and Animawings, with further services planned by AirAsia X, Air Arabia, Beijing Capital and Pegasus. The expanded airline presence increases travel options across European and intercontinental markets.
Flights to Cologne make it easier to reach one of Germany’s well-known cultural cities, recognised for its cathedral, museums and areas along the Rhine. Stuttgart gives access to the Baden-Württemberg region, an area linked to car production, vineyards and routes towards the Black Forest. Having direct flights can make it easier to organise trips that include time in the city as well as visits to surrounding areas.
The addition of Eurowings flights reflects ongoing growth in short-haul connections between the United Kingdom and continental Europe. New routes give passengers more choice when planning journeys between major cities, while strengthening links between regional economic centres. A wider range of airlines also shows that airports are adding more destinations as interest in European travel continues throughout the year.
