easyJet Is Leaving Leeds Bradford for Good

easyJet will stop flying from Leeds Bradford Airport after 5 January 2027, ending a 16-year presence at the Yorkshire airport. The airline currently links Leeds Bradford with Barcelona, Majorca, Malaga, Paris, Geneva and Belfast, but all of those easyJet services are being withdrawn. The carrier said the decision followed a review of its network and that it will focus on routes with stronger customer demand.
Which easyJet Flights Are Affected
- Airport: Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA)
- Airline: easyJet
- Final operating date: 5 January 2027
- Affected routes: Barcelona, Majorca, Malaga, Paris, Geneva and Belfast
- Change: All easyJet services from Leeds Bradford will end
- Existing bookings after 5 January: Free transfer to another easyJet flight or a refund
Customers booked to travel after the final operating date are being contacted by easyJet. They can move to another easyJet flight without a change fee or request a refund, depending on the options available for their booking. The airline first flew from Leeds Bradford in 2010 with a Geneva service, later adding Belfast in 2021 and Paris in 2024 alongside its Spanish leisure routes.
The airport will still have alternatives for several destinations easyJet is dropping. Jet2’s 2027 programme from Leeds Bradford includes Barcelona, Majorca, Malaga, Paris and Geneva, so travellers can compare replacement dates without necessarily changing departure airport. Leeds Bradford also continues to host Ryanair and Jet2, although schedules, operating days and fares will differ from the easyJet services being removed.
After 5 January 2027, Leeds Bradford will no longer be an option for travellers who specifically want to fly with easyJet. Those wishing to stay with the airline may need to depart from another airport, while others can remain at Leeds Bradford and switch carriers. Anyone already booked beyond the cut-off date should deal with the refund or transfer offer before arranging replacement travel, especially if their dates are fixed.
