Disney Cruise Line Returns to New York After Nearly Four Years
Disney Cruise Line will return to New York City in late September 2027 after an absence of nearly four years. Disney Wish will operate seven cruises from the city, lasting between four and seven nights, with itineraries to Bermuda, Canada and New England and one one-way sailing to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Before reaching New York, Disney Wish will spend summer 2027 on its first European season. Cruises will depart from Barcelona, Civitavecchia and Southampton, covering the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, Norwegian Fjords, Northern Europe and the British Isles. The programme also introduces three new ports for Disney Cruise Line: Hellesylt in Norway, Trieste in Italy and Zadar in Croatia, before the ship crosses the Atlantic for its New York season.

Most of the new Disney Wish sailings from New York will operate as round trips, with Bermuda and Canada/New England options returning to the city. The exception is the five-night voyage to San Juan via Bermuda, which ends in Puerto Rico. That itinerary can work well as part of a longer Caribbean trip, but travellers will need to factor in separate flights, accommodation and onward transport when comparing the total cost.
With only seven New York departures planned, travellers looking for a particular route or date will have a relatively limited choice. Cruise fares have not yet been announced, so the most useful comparison once bookings open will be the total trip cost, including flights to New York and any additional travel required after the one-way San Juan sailing.
