A tragedy occurred during a 9-month Royal Caribbean world cruise - a passenger died during the tour. The tragic incident occurred on the Serenade of the Seas ship.

This was reported online by the creator of popular content Adita, who uses the pseudonym @aditaml2759. She traveled on the Ultimate World Cruise and said that the "first death" was recorded on this trip, People writes.

"Some sad news," she said in a TikTok video after the announcement that the ship had arrived in Los Angeles. "We had our first death on the Ultimate World Cruise. A woman died last night. She was an elderly woman," she said. Adita said that it was "very, very sad to see."

According to her, the cause of death could have been a heart attack. At the same time, responding to comments, Adita wrote that the person who passed away was traveling alone.

Although the cruise line did not disclose the circumstances of the death, they confirmed that one of their passengers had died in a statement to PEOPLE.

"A guest sailing on board Serenade of the Seas has unfortunately passed away. We are actively providing support and assistance to the guest's family. At this time, we have nothing to share in terms of confidential information about the guest and her family," the operator said in a statement.

It is emphasized that the deceased went on a 160-point trip from Miami on December 10, 2023 and passed through several parts of America, including Brazil, Argentina and Peru, on its first leg. At the same time, Royal Caribbean said that due to the ongoing unrest in the Red Sea and Suez Canal, the itinerary may be changed.

"The safety of our guests and crew is our top priority, and we are monitoring what is happening in and around the Red Sea. Looking ahead to possible itinerary adjustments, we are currently considering alternatives to Serenade of the Seas, which is currently scheduled to transit the Suez Canal in May. Our guests and travel partners will receive an update in mid-February," Royal Caribbean said in a statement
