Antarctica Cruises Go on Sale, but Not All Get 10% Off

Atlas Ocean Voyages has opened bookings for 25 Antarctica expeditions departing between October 2028 and March 2029, with up to 10% off selected sailings. Travellers booking by 31 December 2026 can secure currently published fares before new prices take effect on 1 January. The discount is not available across the entire programme, so the headline saving may differ from the fare shown for a particular departure.
Routes offer different ways across the Drake Passage. Four nine-night Fly & Sail expeditions combine a charter flight in one direction with a sea crossing in the other. Two seven-night Drake Express trips fly both ways, while Antarctic Discovery uses the sea route. Longer journeys venture beyond the peninsula, including a 12-night Antarctic Circle itinerary and an 18-night voyage to South Georgia and the Falklands.

- Deadline: 31 December 2026 for current fares.
- Starting fare: US$12,998 per person, based on two sharing.
- Bonus: Choose air credit (up to US$2,000 per suite), a hotel package or enhanced Wi-Fi.

- Extra costs: International airfare and optional activities.
- Deposit: 25% within three days of booking.
- Cancellation: US$250 per person until 121 days before sailing; later penalties up to 100%.
The flight credit is deducted from the cruise fare; Atlas does not book your international flights with it. Compare the final quote for your chosen suite and itinerary, and ask whether the 10% saving is already reflected. Some voyages already include a pre-expedition hotel stay, so confirm exactly what the optional hotel package adds. Prices can also change without prior notice.
Flying over the Drake Passage saves time at sea, but charter services can be disrupted by Antarctic weather. Atlas has a contingency plan for Drake Express and Fly & Sail expeditions, which is worth reading before paying a deposit or booking separate onward flights. With departure still two years away, cancellation terms and the total price matter more than securing a percentage discount alone.
