Irish airline Ryanair is planning to expand its presence at Stockholm Arlanda and Gothenburg Landvetter airports ahead of its 2024 summer program. It will open a total of four new routes.

At Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Ryanair will launch flights to Vilnius in Lithuania and the Greek island of Rhodes. Meanwhile, Gothenburg Landvetter will see new connections to Brussels in Belgium and Rome in Italy, thanks to Ryanair's expansion plans, as reported by travelandtourworld.com.

"I am delighted that Ryanair is expanding at our airports - Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Gothenburg Landvetter Airport. Swedavia's main goal is to improve connectivity, and Ryanair's extensive network makes it easier for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure, or visiting family and friends," says Elisabeth Actelius, Director of Aviation Business at Swedavia. - "Ryanair's investment in new direct routes shows great confidence in the Swedish air travel market, and they are an important partner in enabling us to offer a wide range of destinations at our airports," she adds.

Starting March 31, 2024, Ryanair will operate twice-weekly flights between Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Vilnius (VNO). Similarly, flights between Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) and Rhodes Airport (RHO) will start on April 2, 2024, with a frequency of twice weekly.

From Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, Ryanair will start flights to Rome (FCO) three times a week and to Brussels (CRL) twice a week, starting March 31, 2024.
