New Direct Flights from Warsaw to Innsbruck Open the Alps to Travelers

LOT Polish Airlines is set to launch new direct flights from Warsaw to Innsbruck, creating a seamless travel experience for tourists eager to explore the Alps. This new route, operational from November 29, 2024, to March 28, 2025, will enhance access to the region’s winter sports, scenic beauty, and cultural heritage.

Starting this winter, travelers can conveniently visit the picturesque Austrian Alps thanks to LOT Polish Airlines. The new service, operating every Friday, features a Boeing 737 departing Warsaw Airport at 10:25 AM and returning from Innsbruck at 1:35 PM local time. The flight duration is approximately 1.5 hours.

LOT Polish Airlines CEO Michał Fijoł announced that the Innsbruck route is part of the airline's expansion, which includes new destinations like Tashkent, Athens, Oradea, and Riyadh. He highlighted Innsbruck’s appeal, noting its excellent skiing conditions and numerous cultural and tourist attractions.

Innsbruck, renowned for its winter sports, offers over 350 kilometers of ski routes and has hosted the Winter Olympics twice. The city is also famous for its Swarovski crystals and stunning Alpine scenery. Winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy diverse ski routes, ideal snow conditions, and annual competitions at the Bergisel ski jumping hill.

Beyond sports, Innsbruck provides rich sightseeing opportunities with attractions such as the Hofburg and Ambras castles, and the medieval old town. The Swarovski Crystal Worlds museum and factory are also must-see destinations, showcasing the world-renowned crystals.
