Jet2.com and Jet2CityBreaks have confirmed the launch of a dedicated Norway and fjords programme for spring 2026, offering travellers a chance to explore Bergen and surrounding landscapes on limited seasonal flights. These new packages will be available from Newcastle and Leeds Bradford airports, marking the operator’s first-ever scheduled breaks to this region of Scandinavia. The initiative is designed to provide a well-timed, scenic travel option during the quieter early spring months.

Each airport will host four exclusive departures timed across April and May. Newcastle Airport will offer four exclusive departures in April 2026. Two four-night long-weekend trips will depart on Thursday 2nd and 9th April, while two three-night midweek breaks will depart on Monday 6th and 13th April. Leeds Bradford Airport will follow in May 2026, with four additional departures. These include three-night breaks departing on Monday 4th and 11th May, and four-night options flying out on Thursday 7th and 14th May.

Bergen has been chosen as the base for these holidays due to its proximity to some of Norway’s most iconic natural features. Guests will be able to explore the UNESCO-listed Bryggen Wharf, take in panoramic views from Mount Fløyen, or join optional excursions to the Aurlandsfjord and Nærøyfjord. The location combines easy access to fjord adventures with a vibrant historic city centre.

Through Jet2CityBreaks' 'Discover More' brand that combines flights, selected hotel breaks and vast stowage, such getaways are available. Packages also feature ATOL protection and a low deposit requirement of £60 per person, appealing to travellers seeking a secure and flexible way to plan their holidays in advance. Suitable accommodation in Bergen has been selected for conveniences and comfort.

Featuring a modest number of departures and with an emphasis on more casual, relaxed scenic discovery the forthcoming initiative opens up for UK holidaymakers a unique chance to see Norway's fjords without having to arrange their own travel. The short duration and direct service from local airports aim to simplify access to a destination known for its breathtaking landscapes.
