Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional have set out their summer 2026 plans for Cork Airport, adding new routes and boosting capacity on key services. Two new destinations join the map: Nice on the French Riviera and Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. At the same time, flights to Prague will move to a year-round schedule rather than operating only in winter.

Capacity to Glasgow will also increase next summer. From 25 May 2026, the route will rise from four to six weekly flights, with added services on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The daily Bristol service will continue, including double flights on Mondays and Fridays. The expanded timetable reflects sustained demand on UK regional links and European leisure routes.

"We are delighted to be enhancing our services from Cork Airport with an increase in capacity on our popular Glasgow route. The addition of two extra weekly flights for summer 2026 reflects the strong demand we continue to see and reinforces our commitment to offering greater choice, flexibility and convenience for passengers travelling from Cork."
Ian Lough, Head of Commercial at Emerald Airlines

The airline group has also confirmed changes to baggage rules across the regional network. From 3 March 2026, the 10kg carry-on allowance will apply on all Aer Lingus Regional flights operated by Emerald Airlines. Passengers booking Plus or Advantage fares can bring a 10kg cabin bag without charge, while Saver fare holders may pay to carry it onboard or check it into the hold free of charge.

The new destinations open up varied options for summer breaks. Nice offers access to the Côte d’Azur coastline, art museums and nearby towns such as Antibes and Monaco. Santiago de Compostela draws visitors walking the Camino and exploring Galicia’s historic centre. A year-round Prague service supports city visits beyond the peak season, while extra Glasgow flights strengthen links with Scotland’s cultural scene.

Taken together, the updates give Cork a broader spread of short-haul routes without relying on larger hubs. The mix of leisure, pilgrimage and city destinations, combined with clearer baggage rules, makes planning simpler. With more frequencies and new places on the board, Cork’s 2026 summer schedule looks set to offer steady, practical growth rather than headline-grabbing expansion.
