Cancun Beach Attack: Tourists in Shock
A violent assault at one of Cancun’s high-end resorts left vacationers in shock. During the attack, a man was fatally shot, sparking fear and confusion among the guests of the renowned five-star Riu Caribe hotel. Social media footage shows tourists hurriedly seeking shelter in the hotel lobby.
The incident occurred around midday on October 2. According to authorities, two individuals arrived at the beach on jet skis and deliberately targeted their victim before escaping. It is believed that the deceased may have been involved in a previous fatal shooting of a 12-year-old boy earlier in the summer.
The incident sparked active discussions on social media, with many expressing concerns over the safety of resorts that were once considered relatively secure.
