The list of the best states for such an idea was published by the Study Finds portal. The regions of America were analyzed by a set of factors that will make your stay there as convenient as possible, but at the same time environmentally friendly.
We are talking about the cost of living, freedom of action, access to food and water, electricity availability, and the community that inhabits the state.
1. Alabama
This state leads the ranking. Its score is 9.8 out of 10. It ranks first in several lists at once. Alabama received the best overall score. The warm climate and affordable land prices make these areas especially attractive for off-grid living.
2. California
California is called the land of milk and honey. The name alludes to the state's developed agricultural industry. Farmland is one of the reasons why it is highly recommended for an off-grid lifestyle.

5. Tennessee
Tennessee is one of the best states for off-grid living. It has a warm, humid, long growing season and rich soil. Fresh water flows from the Appalachian Mountains, and land is cheap. The community in most parts of the state has remained rural and self-sufficient.
