Cyprus Becomes Easier to Reach from Varna Next Summer
Wizz Air has outlined plans to introduce a direct flight between Varna and Larnaca for the summer 2026 travel period. The flight connects Bulgaria’s Black Sea coastline with Cyprus, a place many travelers pick for coastal holidays and long summer stays. The move further strengthens Varna’s role as a practical departure airport for Mediterranean destinations during the peak summer months.
The planned schedule highlights a steady and predictable option for summer travel, with flights set to run as follows:

- frequency: three times per week
- operating days: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays
This connection becomes part of Wizz Air’s wider summer program from Varna, which is expected to include 18 direct routes to 10 countries, reflecting continued network growth from the airport.
What the New Route Opens Up for Travelers
For travelers arriving in Cyprus, the route provides easy access to Larnaca’s most recognisable urban attractions. Visitors can spend time along the palm lined Finikoudes Promenade, a central waterfront area known for its beaches, walking paths, and open air cafés. Cultural landmarks such as the Church of Saint Lazarus and the nearby Larnaca Castle allow travelers to combine relaxed seaside time with historically significant sights within a compact city layout.
