Cardiff Council has issued important travel advice ahead of Pink's concert at the Principality Stadium on June 11. With the gates opening at 4 pm and a full city center road closure from 3 pm to midnight for safety reasons, the Council urges attendees to plan their travel meticulously.

The M4 motorway is expected to be heavily congested due to the event. To avoid traffic, Cardiff Council recommends using the park & ride service at Cardiff City Football Club in Leckwith (CF11 8AZ). For real-time traffic updates, visit the Traffic Wales website or follow @TrafficWalesS on social media.

Concertgoers are advised to arrive early and familiarize themselves with the prohibited items listed on principalitystadium.wales, particularly the bag policy which bans large bags.

Starting at 7 am, Scott Road and Park Street will close to prepare Gate 5 and manage queuing fans. The full city center road closure at 3 pm will affect major roads including Kingsway, Cowbridge Road East, and Tudor Street among others.

Transport for Wales will increase capacity on routes to and from Cardiff on June 11, but trains are expected to be very busy. Post-event queues for mainline rail services will be on Central Square, while Valleys service queues will be behind the station. Cardiff Queen Street will close at 9:30 pm except for accessible access and Cardiff Bay passengers.

Great Western Railway will run additional services from Cardiff Central to Swansea, Newport, Bristol, and Swindon after the concert. Expect busy trains and a queuing system outside the station to manage crowds safely.

For those driving, Cardiff Council highlights the park & ride service at Cardiff City Stadium in Leckwith, accessible from junction 33 off the M4. The cost is £15, cash only. The car park opens at 8:45 am, with the last bus leaving Fitzhammon Embankment at midnight.

Civic Centre Event Day Parking is also available, costing £20 for cars and £30 for coaches, with card payments accepted. The car park opens at 8 am and closes at midnight. Sophia Gardens offers similar parking options and hours.

Local buses will be diverted during the city center road closures. For specific route information, visit the websites of relevant bus operators. National Express coaches will use Sophia Gardens as usual.

Cyclists can use the cycleways within the road closure area but should exercise caution due to the expected crowds. Walking or cycling may be faster for local residents.

City center car parks and disabled parking at various private car parks are available. Check individual websites for availability. Hackney carriage taxis are required to accept bookings from taxi ranks within the city boundary unless there is a reasonable excuse.
