London Rooftop Playground Returns for Summer
Roof East has reopened in London for the summer, bringing back its adult rooftop playground above a Stratford car park. The venue overlooks the city skyline and is open for the season until 27 September 2026. Its latest run includes games, food, drinks and entertainment, giving groups another outdoor option for warm evenings in the capital.
The rooftop has built its name around playful activities aimed at adults rather than children. Visitors can book mini-golf, disco bowling, batting cages, archery, ping pong, lawn bowls and competitive group games. The relaunch also brings themed nights and live entertainment, keeping the space closer to a social night out than a standard rooftop bar.
What Visitors Can Book
Prices vary by activity, with crazy golf starting at £10 and batting cages costing upwards of £25. Guests are advised to book ahead for paid activities, although some free games and attractions remain available without a reservation. Food is served by rotating street food traders, while the bar offers cocktails, beers and frozen drinks.
The reopening gives London visitors another easy add-on for summer city breaks, especially around Stratford and east London. It can work before or after a show, shopping trip, gig or Olympic Park visit. The open-air cinema also adds a slower evening option, with deckchairs set up for cult films and newer releases under the sky.
The useful part is the mix: games, food, drinks and film screenings in one place, without needing to move between venues. It will not suit anyone after a quiet rooftop dinner, but for groups it keeps planning simple. In a city where summer evenings get booked fast, Roof East adds another casual option with proper "don’t make me organise five separate things" energy.
