British Airways Restarts Dubai Flights After Eight-Month Suspension
British Airways is preparing to fly to Dubai again after an eight-month interruption linked to the Middle East conflict. Its return will give passengers another nonstop option between London and the UAE, with a daily overnight service scheduled to begin next week. But the wider network is not returning at once: British Airways still has no near-term flights planned to Abu Dhabi, and regional airspace remains unpredictable.
When British Airways Returns to Dubai
- Route: Heathrow T5 (LHR) - Dubai T1 (DXB), nonstop.
- Restart: 3 November 2026.
- Frequency: Daily in winter; twice daily planned for summer 2027.
- BA105 (3 Nov): 20:05 London - 07:45 Dubai (4 Nov).
- BA104 (4 Nov): 10:00 Dubai - 14:55 London.
- Aircraft: Boeing 787-10.
- Fare: From £340 one-way in Economy; subject to availability.
- Times: Local; check BA’s timetable before booking.
- Abu Dhabi: Still suspended until winter 2027–28.
The advertised £340 one-way fare is not necessarily the final cost. BA's Economy Basic tickets exclude checked baggage, so compare prices with luggage included. If Dubai is a connection rather than your destination, check whether the onward flight is on the same booking. Separate tickets may mean collecting and rechecking bags, while a delay on the first flight could leave you paying for a replacement journey.
A morning arrival leaves most of the day for Dubai's sights, including Downtown's Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall and the Marina. Dubai International's Terminal 1 has a station on the Metro Red Line, which serves these districts without an airport taxi. Dubai Creek and the Al Fahidi neighbourhood are also reachable by public transport, with a change to the Green Line for the historic quarter.
The restored route adds a choice alongside existing flights, but it is not a signal that Middle East disruption has ended. UK travel advice still warns of sudden airspace closures and cancellations. Check the airline's flight status and the latest FCDO guidance before paying for non-refundable hotels or connections. British Airways passengers bound for Abu Dhabi must still book a different service or destination.
