Turkish Airlines Unveils New Sustainability Initiative
On June 5, coinciding with World Environment Day, Turkish Airlines launched its new sustainability brand, 'Tomorrow On-Board,' at Istanbul Airport. The event featured the unveiling of sustainable in-flight products and an art exhibition showcasing works made from repurposed aircraft materials.
The 'Tomorrow On-Board' initiative reflects Turkish Airlines' commitment to sustainability. During the event, Chief Investment & Strategy Officer Levent Konukcu emphasized the airline's dedication to reducing its environmental impact through transparent and accessible sustainability practices.
The exhibition titled "41.2607° North and 28.7424° East" displayed artworks crafted from decommissioned aircraft parts, flight crew uniforms, and cabin materials. This two-week exhibition at Istanbul Airport underscores the airline's goal of promoting a better world through creative reuse of materials.
