Rapid Expansion: Akasa Air announced the introduction of international flights just 19 months after its launch
Less than two years after its inception, the young Indian airline Akasa Air announced its plans to expand its international flights. Additionally, the company has placed an order for 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, significantly bolstering its position as a record-holder in the history of Indian aviation.
The company stated that the new aircraft will be deployed starting from March 28, 2024, at Hamad International Airport (DOH) in Doha, Qatar. According to Simple Flying, the airline will operate flights four times a week from its base at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM).
Akasa Air highlighted that the new route aligns with the Qatar Tourism Authority's objective of making Qatar the fastest-growing destination in the Middle East by 2030.

Since its establishment, Akasa Air has served 21 cities and accommodated more than 7 million passengers. Vinay Dube emphasized that the carrier ensures high safety standards for its customers and anticipates rapid growth, showcasing the potential of the Indian aviation industry.
