Jamaica Expands Global Access for Its Citizens

As of August 2024, Jamaica has gained recognition for expanding travel opportunities for its citizens. With a passport that now provides access to 89 countries either visa-free or with a visa on arrival, Jamaica is solidifying its position on the global stage. This achievement highlights the country’s successful diplomatic efforts and opens up new avenues for Jamaicans in business, culture, and education.

For example, Barbados now offers visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 132 countries, making it one of the most powerful passports in the region. Similarly, the Bahamas has also made strides in improving global access for its citizens.With a passport that allows for visa-free travel to over 146 countries, the Bahamas has positioned itself as a leader in the region. This increase in travel freedom not only benefits Bahamians but also strengthens the country’s tourism industry by fostering better international relations and attracting more visitors.
