Greater Anglia Announces 7 Day Sale, Offering Travel Discounts in East Anglia
This summer, Greater Anglia is introducing a significant fare reduction for rail passengers in East Anglia. The company's Big 7 Day Sale offers a 20% discount on selected advance and off-peak tickets for journeys to and from London Liverpool Street.
With this promotion, travelers can benefit from reduced prices on popular routes, including trips to Cambridge, Ipswich, and Chelmsford. The discounted tickets must be booked using the code ‘BIG20’ by 11:59 PM on July 16th, and are valid for travel between July 20th and September 3rd.
For many travelers, this sale represents a substantial opportunity to save on travel costs during the peak summer months. It opens up more affordable options for those planning visits to major cultural, historical, and recreational sites in the region.
In Cambridge, visitors can explore the historic university city, famous for its beautiful colleges, the River Cam, and its many museums and botanical gardens. The promotion is also family-friendly, with children under 5 traveling for free and those under 15 paying just £2 when accompanied by an adult. This could ease the financial burden for families looking to travel together during the school holidays.
Greater Anglia’s initiative includes various cost-saving options available throughout the year, such as GroupSave for groups of three or more, special fares for London evening outings, and Club 50 discounts for passengers aged 50 and over. The company advises passengers to book early to secure the best fares.
It’s important to note that this discount cannot be combined with Railcard or other offers. Tickets are available exclusively online at Greater Anglia website, via the Greater Anglia app, or through their contact center.
