As the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 kicks off in Malmö, Sweden, airlines easyJet and SAS are going the extra mile to ensure fans arrive in style and spirit. With Malmö set to host the renowned musical competition, both airlines have launched unique campaigns to celebrate the event and welcome thousands of visitors to the city.

easyJet Elevates Eurovision Experience: As the official airline partner of the Eurovision Song Contest, easyJet has truly embraced the festive spirit. The airline organized a special talent show aboard a flight from London Gatwick to Copenhagen, complete with sequins, sing-alongs, and a guest appearance by Drag Race star Tia Kofi. Catherine Donald, a member of the Organisation Générale des Amateurs de l'Eurovision (OAGE), described the flight as "the ultimate treat for any Eurovision fan," highlighting the airline's commitment to delivering a memorable experience.

In response to the overwhelming demand from Eurovision enthusiasts, easyJet has increased its seat capacity by over 10% to and from Copenhagen. This year, the airline expects to transport approximately 40,000 European visitors for the contest. The convenient connection from Copenhagen Airport to Malmö via direct rail service underscores easyJet’s role in facilitating easy access to the event’s festivities.

SAS Sparkles with AI-Generated Campaign: Not to be outdone, SAS has introduced an innovative AI-generated campaign created by Swedish AI artist Stephanie Löwenstein. This campaign features unique imagery and the slogan "We bring Europe to Malmö," which is displayed across major airports, outdoor screens in Copenhagen and Malmö, and on SAS's digital platforms. Paul Verhagen, EVP & Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, expressed enthusiasm about showcasing the region's charm to visitors, reflecting the airline's dedication to enhancing the Eurovision experience.

The Eurovision Song Contest is more than a musical event; it's a cultural phenomenon that brings together nations in a celebration of music, diversity, and unity. This year’s theme resonates through the efforts of easyJet and SAS, each contributing to the spectacle that Eurovision promises to be. With such initiatives, both airlines not only enhance the travel experience but also amplify the excitement surrounding one of Europe’s most beloved events.
