Southwest Airlines Launches Wanna Get Away Week with Major Discounts and Sweepstakes

Southwest Airlines has kicked off its annual Wanna Get Away Week, offering exclusive discounts and sweepstakes leading up to its birthday on June 18. Starting June 10, Rapid Rewards Members can access up to 50% off base fares through the Southwest app, with the sale opening to all customers later in the evening.

The sale includes domestic travel from August 6 to December 18, 2024, and international, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico travel from August 20 to December 17, 2024. The promotion is part of Southwest’s strategy to reward customer loyalty and encourage more travel.

In addition to airfare discounts, Southwest is offering deals on car rentals, hotel stays, and vacation packages. Customers renting through Dollar Car Rental can save up to 25%, and hotel stays of three nights or more earn quintuple points. Vacation packages provide up to $500 in savings for travel between June 11, 2024, and March 5, 2025.

The Wanna Get Away Day Sweepstakes offers daily prizes, culminating on June 18 with a chance to win 25 million Rapid Rewards points and a promotional Companion Pass. Participation requires membership in the Rapid Rewards program.
