Air Montenegro Adds Five European Routes Before Christmas

Air Montenegro is introducing five direct routes from Podgorica, with flights to Zagreb, Brussels, Frankfurt, Bari and Paris starting before Christmas. The announcement comes as the airline prepares more services outside the summer travel season. Residents will have additional choices for European trips, while visitors can reach Montenegro's capital directly and continue towards the coast or the country's national parks.
When the Five Podgorica Routes Begin
- Airline: Air Montenegro.
- Zagreb (ZAG): 26 November.
- Brussels (BRU): 30 November.
- Frankfurt (FRA): 4 December.
- Bari (BRI): 17 December.
- Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG): 17 December.
- Frequency: Three flights weekly on each route.
- Season: Brussels, Zagreb and Bari year-round; Frankfurt and Paris in winter.
- Return fares: From €99 for Zagreb/Bari; €149 elsewhere.
- Tickets: On sale now.
These flights form part of Montenegro's public-service air programme, designed to maintain international connections beyond the busy summer months. Air Montenegro says the advertised return fares include taxes, one cabin bag weighing up to 8kg and one checked bag up to 23kg. Seats at the lowest prices are limited; flight dates and available fares can be checked through the airline's booking system.
The new arrivals put Lake Skadar National Park within reach of visitors flying into Podgorica, with boat trips and kayaking available around Virpazar. The Adriatic coast also makes a possible longer stay, though reaching it requires onward transport. In the other direction, direct flights give Montenegro residents access to Zagreb's Upper Town, Bari's old centre and Brussels' Grand-Place without changing planes along the way.
At Podgorica Airport, BTC Zeta, MS Tours and Zejdin operate buses towards the central station. The airport's published timetable expired in May 2025, but tickets are sold onboard or through Busticket4me. Air Montenegro closes check-in desks in Podgorica 30 minutes before scheduled departure. Paris flights use Charles de Gaulle's Terminal 2B, while Frankfurt check-in areas vary according to departure time.
