TAP Opens New Lisbon–Orlando Route for Florida Holidays

TAP Air Portugal has started nonstop flights between Lisbon and Orlando, opening a new option for people planning a Florida holiday without a connection elsewhere. The route serves Orlando International Airport, the gateway to the region's theme parks and Florida's Space Coast. It also works in the opposite direction, with passengers departing Orlando able to connect through Lisbon to destinations across Europe, Africa and South America.

Orlando is TAP's second Florida destination after Miami, but this is its first direct service to central Florida. Iberia also flies nonstop between Madrid and Orlando up to four times weekly, offering another option when TAP's departure days don't suit. TAP announced 34 Business seats, 12 Economy Prime and 240 Economy seats, although aircraft can vary by departure. Orlando Airport lists TAP at Terminal C on its official airline directory.
The flight lands travellers closer to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld without a US domestic connection. Orlando also works as a base for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Florida's Space Coast. That excursion needs separate planning: the attraction says there is no public transport to its site, although coach trips operate from Orlando. Tickets for the parks are sold separately.
The route operates only three days a week, so a missed departure or a change of plans may mean several days before the next nonstop. Portuguese and eligible British passport holders need an approved ESTA to visit the US without a visa; other nationalities may need a visa. At Orlando Terminal C, ride-share pick-ups are on Level 6, with car hire on Level 4.
