Norwegian Air Shuttle has revealed its summer 2026 timetable, featuring over 300 routes linking upwards of 120 destinations across Europe. The programme will run from March to October 2026, with a stronger focus on the UK market. The airline is introducing nonstop flights from London Gatwick, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Newcastle, linking travelers directly to major Nordic capitals and regional cities as part of its wider network growth.

The airline plans to operate a fleet of about 90 aircraft, featuring models such as the Boeing 737 MAX 8. Below are the confirmed UK departures and destinations:

  • London Gatwick: Ålesund, Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger, Trondheim, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Helsinki
  • Manchester: Oslo, Stavanger, Bergen, Copenhagen, Stockholm
  • Edinburgh: Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm, Copenhagen
  • Newcastle: Copenhagen
“In our summer 2026 schedule, we’ve increased capacity and expanded our offering to the Nordic region, giving both leisure and business travellers even more choice."
Magnus Thome Maursund, Chief Commercial Officer at Norwegian

The updated network provides passengers with more choice and fewer layovers for trips to northern Europe. Routes departing from four major UK airports mean easier access to destinations across Scandinavia.Norwegian’s growing network shows how airlines adjust to travelers’ expectations for regional connections and flexible itineraries, keeping both leisure and business trips as key priorities across Europe.

These new services provide quicker and easier access to Nordic destinations, especially for travelers who want to mix cultural sightseeing with outdoor and nature-focused activities. Nonstop flights now make it easier and faster to reach Norway’s fjords, Sweden’s lakes, and Finland’s ski resorts, greatly cutting travel time for visitors. By expanding their operations, airlines assist regional tourism boards in attracting travelers to destinations beyond major capitals, updating flight schedules to serve smaller, lesser-known locations.

Norwegian’s emphasis on UK routes in its summer 2026 timetable reflects a wider movement in European aviation, showing how carriers are working to enhance regional connections. This shift underscores evolving traveler preferences, with a growing demand for dependable, nonstop flight options. For travelers, this adjustment provides added flexibility, and for airlines, it demonstrates how they coordinate route planning, fleet upgrades, and operational approaches to meet evolving travel demands in a competitive market.
