New Kimpton Hotel Set to Open in Dubai’s Business Bay in 2026
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to launch the first Kimpton hotel in the United Arab Emirates. The new property will be developed in collaboration with API Hotels & Resorts and is scheduled to open in early 2026. The hotel will rise in Business Bay, a part of Dubai where offices, homes, and famous places like the Burj Khalifa all sit side by side in one buzzing, fast-moving neighborhood.
The Kimpton Dubai will offer 280 guest rooms and a range of facilities designed to serve both business and leisure travelers. Guests will find a pool on the roof where they can swim with a view, a place to relax and recharge in the wellness area, three spots to eat, and rooms set aside for meetings and events. The hotel will be situated near the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, placing it in a high-traffic area for tourism, retail, and corporate activity.
IHG stated that the hotel will reflect the Kimpton brand’s identity within the luxury lifestyle segment. The property will emphasize modern design and service tailored to individual preferences. Although full design plans have not been revealed, the company notes that the hotel will seek to provide a distinct alternative to more traditional five-star properties commonly found across the city’s hotel market.
This development is part of IHG’s broader strategy to grow its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Middle East. IHG already runs over 120 hotels in the region with different names and styles, and bringing in Kimpton shows they’re putting more energy into offering guests a wider mix of hotel experiences.
