Eurowings Adds Five Routes, Including Two to Italy

Eurowings is adding five nonstop European routes for summer 2027, with new flights from Stuttgart, Hannover and Berlin to popular city-break destinations. The additions cover Denmark, Spain, Italy and Ireland, giving passengers more ways to travel without an airport connection. Two of the new routes serve northern Italy, connecting Hannover with Venice and Berlin with Verona, both in the Veneto region.
Where Eurowings Will Fly in Summer 2027
- Airline: Eurowings; summer 2027 services.
- Stuttgart (STR)-Copenhagen (CPH): 28 March; Sunday–Friday; six weekly.
- Stuttgart (STR)-Madrid (MAD): 28 March; Sunday–Friday; six weekly.
- Hannover (HAJ)-Venice (VCE): 28 March; Thursday 07:15 and Sunday 08:35 departures; twice weekly.
- Hannover (HAJ)-Dublin (DUB): 3 May; Monday/Friday; twice weekly.
- Berlin Brandenburg (BER)-Verona (VRN): 4 June; Monday/Friday; twice weekly.
- Booking: Available through Eurowings; end dates for individual services not specified.
Eurowings sells the routes under its usual fare system, so the cheapest ticket may not cover everything needed for a holiday. BASIC includes only an underseat bag measuring up to 40 × 30 × 25 cm; a standard cabin case costs extra. SMART includes a larger cabin bag and a 23 kg checked suitcase. Airport check-in can also cost extra on BASIC, with fees starting at €5.
Berlin's Verona flight provides an arrival point for Lake Garda as well as the city’s Roman arena. Verona Airport's AirLink bus connects with Porta Nuova railway station for onward trains. From Venice Marco Polo, buses run to Piazzale Roma and water services reach lagoon islands. The other routes bring Copenhagen's Tivoli Gardens, Madrid's Prado Museum and Dublin's coastal villages within easier reach of German departure airports.
One detail deserves attention on the new Hannover–Dublin route. Ireland is outside the Schengen Area, so a Schengen visa or ordinary German residence permit does not automatically authorise entry. EU citizens must present a valid passport or national identity card, while non-EU passengers need a passport and may require an Irish visa. Ireland’s immigration service lists visa-required nationalities and relevant exemptions, which should be checked before booking.
