Marriott International announced plans to expand its portfolio in France by adding 10 new hotels with more than 1,000 rooms by the end of 2025. This will strengthen the company's presence in the French market, where it already operates 69 properties with over 12,000 rooms in 29 cities, including Paris, Nice, Cannes, Lyon, and Marseille.

Among the new properties will be three Moxy Hotels, known for their innovative and playful style. Moxy Annecy and Moxy Paris Clamart are scheduled to open in 2024, followed by Moxy Nice at the end of 2025. Currently, there are nine Moxy hotels operating in France with nearly 1,500 rooms.

Other planned openings include Residence Inn by Marriott Lille, Courtyard by Marriott Lyon East, and Aloft Dijon, which will be created on the site of a former post office in the center of Dijon. Projects involving the conversion of existing buildings make up a significant portion of our plans, allowing us to add hotels in key locations.

Marriott also plans to open Hôtel du Couvent, a Luxury Collection Hotel, in Nice. This project involves the conversion of a former convent and will add 88 rooms to the market in 2024. The hotel is being developed in collaboration with architectural studios Studio Mumbai, Studio Méditerranée, and Festen Architecture.

In the premium segment, Marriott will add a Tribute Portfolio Hotel in Mougins. In total, 16 brands from the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio are represented in France, including The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin, offering a diverse range of options for different categories of travelers.
