From 26 October 2026, KLM will operate a larger aircraft on one of its four daily flights between Gdańsk and Amsterdam. The airline will replace the Embraer 195 E2 with a Boeing 737 800 on the KL1303 and KL1304 services, increasing capacity from Gdańsk by 43 seats. KLM is adding more seats on the route as passenger numbers from northern Poland continue to grow, without changing its existing daily schedule.

What Will Change on the Gdańsk to Amsterdam Route?

Passengers can expect several updates when the winter schedule begins:

  • The upgraded aircraft will operate on the KL1303 and KL1304 services.
  • The Boeing 737 800 will offer 176 seats, providing 43 more seats than the aircraft currently used.
  • KLM will continue operating 4 daily flights between Gdańsk and Amsterdam.
  • Complimentary onboard internet will remain available on the aircraft as Wi Fi continues to be introduced across the airline's European fleet.
  • Travellers arriving in Amsterdam will have access to connections to more than 160 destinations through the airline's hub.
"We are very pleased with this positive change to the KLM fleet operating the Gdańsk to Amsterdam route. The introduction of a larger aircraft will give our passengers better seat availability. Four daily flights, together with this latest investment in a larger aircraft, confirm the enormous potential of the Pomeranian market. We hope that the high quality of KLM's product, combined with access to more than 160 destinations via Amsterdam and our excellent cooperation with Gdańsk Airport, will support our continued growth and result in even more satisfied passengers."
Joanna Oleśniewicz General Sales Manager of Air France and KLM in Poland and Ukraine

Amsterdam serves as much more than a transfer point because it opens access to one of Europe's most visited cities. After arriving, visitors can spend time exploring its historic canals, lively public squares and neighbourhoods known for traditional Dutch architecture. The city's compact layout also makes it easy to move between major attractions, allowing both short city breaks and longer holidays to fit comfortably into a travel itinerary.

The expanded capacity also makes it easier for passengers from northern Poland to reach Amsterdam before continuing to discover the city's cultural and leisure attractions. Travellers can enjoy famous museums, waterfront districts, local markets and parks without needing additional domestic flights after arrival. Combined with the airline's extensive network from its Amsterdam hub, the route offers convenient opportunities to combine a visit to the Dutch capital with onward journeys to many other international destinations.

The introduction of a larger aircraft does not create a new route, but it gives more people the opportunity to travel on a service that has continued to grow since its launch. For passengers, the increase in available seats means greater flexibility when planning trips, particularly during busy travel periods. Together with four daily departures and broad onward connections through Amsterdam, the latest capacity increase highlights the continued importance of the Gdańsk route for both leisure and business travellers.
