An EasyJet passenger found himself stranded at Manchester Airport for three hours after realizing he had lost his passport just before his departure.
Tom Solan, 52, was situated in Terminal 1, set for a vacation to Cyprus on New Year's Eve. However, his travel plans were halted when he discovered he didn't have his passport at the last minute, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The English teacher, who resides in Málaga, Spain, was left waiting after being instructed to wait for an airline representative to assist him. However, according to Solan, the representative never arrived.
Mr. Solan, concerned that his type 1 diabetes might exacerbate under stress, likened his situation to that of Victor Navorski, the character from the Tom Hanks movie "The Terminal," who was stranded at JFK Airport in New York.
After enduring three hours of ordeal, he was eventually assisted out of the terminal. The airline EasyJet issued an apology to the customer.
