easyJet has confirmed the launch of a new summer route linking London Southend with Ibiza, expanding its presence at the Essex airport ahead of the 2026 season. The service will operate twice a week and marks another step in the airline’s wider network growth at Southend. Seats and holiday packages are already on sale, giving passengers the chance to plan well ahead for next summer.

The inaugural flight is scheduled for 29 April 2026, with departures planned on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The new service strengthens easyJet’s position as London Southend’s largest airline and brings the total number of routes available from the airport to 24. These connections cover destinations across Europe and North Africa, reinforcing Southend’s role as a growing leisure gateway.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be announcing the return of flights to Ibiza with our partners at easyJet. This latest addition is another brilliant step forward for London Southend as our network continues to grow, giving passengers even more choice when it comes to flying from our easy, speedy, friendly airport."
Nigel Mayes, Business Development Director at London Southend Airport

Alongside flight-only tickets, easyJet Holidays is offering package options tied to the new route. These include flights, hotel accommodation, transfers, and a 23kg luggage allowance. Packages can be booked with a low deposit, and bookings can be changed up to 28 days before departure. This gives customers more room to plan ahead without committing fully at an early stage, which is particularly useful when booking travel more than a year in advance.

The Ibiza connection opens up easier access to one of Spain’s most diverse island destinations. Travellers can explore the historic streets of Dalt Vila, spend time along the island’s varied coastline, or experience its food scene beyond the well-known nightlife. With regular midweek and weekend departures, the route suits both short breaks and longer stays during the peak summer period.

For passengers in Essex and east London, the new route offers an extra summer travel option without relying on larger airports. It also adds to London Southend’s growing list of direct leisure routes. With airlines releasing parts of their 2026 schedules earlier than usual, announcements like this are already influencing how people start planning trips for next summer.
